Eva Faschaunerin – Home museum

Eva was the daughter of farmer Faschaunerin from Maltaberg. Eva married farmer Jakob Kary in 1770 however a week after they were married Jakob was found dead in suspicious circumstances. Eva spent three years in prison in Gmünd after it was believed that Eva poisoned her husband with arsenic. Eva was the last person to be sent to the gallows from Gmünd.
As part of the Eva-Faschauner exhibition, visitors will be shown original pieces from a long time ago!
